Responsibilities
- Own critical platform features from design through implementation and operation.
- Design scalable and resilient systems that support engineering teams.
- Build and harden secure systems using low-level security, threat modeling, and offensive testing.
- Build and maintain infrastructure and automation for Filevine’s platform.
- Partner with ML teams to operate ML infrastructure and pipelines and improve the MLOps layer.
- Lead cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable, future-proof solutions.
- Review code, mentor engineers, and help establish platform engineering standards.
- Improve systems, tooling, and processes to reduce complexity and operational toil.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and operating software systems from inception through release and maintenance.
- Experience leading complex cross-team engineering efforts and designing scalable platform services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
- Experience with security engineering, system hardening, penetration testing, ethical hacking, or another security-oriented role is welcome.
- Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with or willingness to use Python, Temporal.io, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment with asynchronous communication, ownership, and clear communication.
