Base Salary
$221k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical vision and execution for Pave’s AI compensation analyst.
- Build an agentic system that reasons over structured compensation data and executes multi-step workflows across Pave’s platform.
- Lead AI product initiatives end-to-end from concept through production and market launch.
- Define technical primitives and patterns that other engineers can build upon.
- Partner with Product, engineers, and data scientists to determine what AI-driven customer solutions to build.
- Drive technical alignment across teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building production systems.
- Deep hands-on expertise in LLMs, agentic architectures, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to identify customer problems that AI can uniquely solve.
- Proven experience leading ambiguous 0-to-1 technical initiatives from concept to production.
- Pragmatic engineering judgment regarding speed and quality investments.
- Ability to drive technical alignment across teams and define primitives and patterns for other engineers.
- Founder mentality, ownership, urgency, and bias toward action.
