Responsibilities
- Own the strategic roadmap and architectural delivery of the internal developer portal and AI- and LLM-backed agentic platform workflows.
- Lead organization-wide platform engineering strategy and advise engineering leads on cloud-native Kubernetes and AI platform architecture.
- Drive the internal developer platform as a product through self-service capabilities, golden paths, automation, and improved developer experience.
- Guide the development of modular Terraform libraries for standardized provisioning across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
- Define standards for Kubernetes container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and service discovery.
- Provide Tier 2 support, root-cause analysis, and architectural remediation for complex platform issues.
- Establish incident management, escalation, operational guardrails, SLA/SLO frameworks, post-mortems, and rotational on-call practices.
- Mentor senior technical talent and influence engineering teams across distributed studios.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, including at least 4+ years focused on internal developer platforms or Kubernetes-based tooling.
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, cloud-native ecosystems, operators, controllers, and CRDs.
- Expert experience managing highly elastic, mission-critical workloads on AWS and/or GCP.
- Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI agents into engineering workflows, APIs, or platform tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or Rust for automation tools, Kubernetes operators, and developer-facing APIs.
- Strong experience with Git, configuration management, CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Experience architecting multi-region, highly available systems for global user bases.
- Ability to influence without authority across distributed teams and time zones and maintain an internal developer customer focus.
- Willingness and ability to participate in a 24/7 rotational on-call schedule.
- Prior gaming industry experience supporting large-scale, high-concurrency multiplayer backend services is a bonus.
- Experience progressing engineering organizations from human-in-the-loop to more autonomous agentic workflows is a bonus.
