Responsibilities
- Drive best practices for data streaming, processing, analytics, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes platforms including Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Provision and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Enterprise Actions.
- Work with AWS and GCP cloud-native data services and workflow orchestration platforms.
- Develop Python automation scripts and tooling for DevOps processes.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive reliability improvements.
- Implement SRE practices focused on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze cloud costs and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security policies and best practices.
- Drive adoption of company standards and influence data teams on DevOps and SRE practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development workflows and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with AWS and GCP data services, including Kinesis, Glue, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
- Production experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads on EKS and GKE.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform.
- Expertise managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Enterprise Actions.
- Programming experience with Python for automation and scripting.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including performance monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure cost optimization strategies.
- Preferred experience with data lake architectures and big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
- Preferred familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Preferred experience with Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, Istio, GitOps workflows, and Kubernetes-native tooling.
- Ability to influence change across multiple teams and collaborate in an agile environment.
