Base Salary

$102k - $202k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and operate distributed services and microservices on Azure for catalog, search, purchase, fulfillment, metering, and billing experiences.
  • Own software features across requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and live-site support.
  • Develop platform capabilities for offer publishing, catalog, search, purchasing, fulfillment, metering, and billing.
  • Integrate natural language processing, semantic search, intelligent agents, and other AI capabilities.
  • Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency using telemetry, asynchronous I/O, and system profiling.
  • Implement data validation and schema enforcement while complying with privacy and security standards.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, define technical requirements, review designs, and deliver production-grade software.
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, resolve incidents, and implement root-cause fixes.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, telemetry, and safe deployment practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience includes 3–5 years of software engineering in cloud-scale or AI-enhanced services.
  • Proficiency in C#, Python, or JavaScript and familiarity with Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with REST APIs, relational or NoSQL data stores, distributed systems, debugging, and core data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with AI development tools, OpenAI APIs, transformers, semantic search, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, or fine-tuning.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience operating large-scale cloud services, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, or high-throughput data pipelines.
  • Experience with commerce, billing, marketplace, or storefront systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lead design efforts, communicate effectively, collaborate, and deliver production-grade solutions.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response, SRE practices, design documentation, postmortems, and customer-facing release notes.
