Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architectures for AI-native, cloud-native, data-intensive, and distributed systems.
- Translate business problems into technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
- Use and orchestrate AI agents across design, coding, testing, documentation, infrastructure, and deployment activities.
- Establish engineering patterns, guardrails, prompts, review criteria, and governance practices for AI-assisted software delivery.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient systems involving cloud platforms, APIs, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and observability.
- Assure functional, security, performance, resilience, and operational readiness in partnership with test engineers.
- Communicate technical decisions to users, engineers, product owners, senior leaders, and business stakeholders.
- Coach engineers in systems thinking, AI-native engineering, software fundamentals, and technical decision-making.
- Improve specifications, agent workflows, and delivery accelerators using incident feedback, cost insights, and production signals.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing complex software systems, distributed systems, data platforms, or cloud-native services.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools or coding agents for software delivery, testing, documentation, or design.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, operating systems, networking, APIs, integration patterns, and performance trade-offs.
- Experience with cloud compute platforms, preferably AWS, including architecture, security, observability, deployment, and cost considerations.
- Programming experience with Go, Rust, C, C++, Java, or equivalent; Python experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to set technical direction, resolve complex design trade-offs, and guide engineering teams through ambiguity.
- Experience embedding secure-by-design, test-first, observable, and compliant engineering practices into delivery workflows.
- Experience owning complex technical designs from problem framing through production release and operational support.
- Demonstrable understanding of how to validate, govern, and improve AI-generated engineering artifacts.
- Experience with cloud services, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, security controls, and production support models.
- Ability to work directly with users to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification, or equivalent cloud architecture experience, is desirable.
- Telecoms, network operations, RAN/Core analytics, data engineering, AIOps, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, operational automation, event-driven architectures, lakehouse patterns, streaming data, model-assisted development, or agent orchestration experience is desirable.
