Base Salary
$149k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality C++ flight-controls software for VTOL and CTOL aircraft.
- Build open-loop and closed-loop stability and performance analysis tools using C++ and Python.
- Develop simulation capabilities and control algorithms ranging from stabilization to basic autonomy.
- Formulate test plans to demonstrate solution robustness and performance.
- Directly support flight testing as a required crewmember in a remote ground station.
- Collaborate with software and controls engineers to plan and execute integrated solutions.
Requirements
- Expert understanding of aircraft dynamics.
- Expert knowledge of modern control methods, including robust and optimal control.
- Experience writing real-time and safety-critical C++ flight software.
- Experience developing simulation and linear-analysis tools for dynamic systems.
- Professional experience writing C++ and Python.
- Experience with real-time signal processing.
- Must qualify as a US Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to meet US export-control requirements.
