Responsibilities
- Move between manual and automated testing based on team needs, feature scope, and initiative timelines.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle and produce quality code.
- Design, update, and maintain automated testing scripts, frameworks, test suites, and test tools.
- Develop testing suites for test-driven development and behavior-driven development.
- Write code that exercises APIs, RESTful APIs, web services, and other non-UI components.
- Integrate automated test suites with continuous integration tools for frequent execution.
- Create test plans, conditions, cases, test data, and special account conditions for validation.
- Evaluate system and application environments and communicate findings to leadership.
- Serve as the test engineering contact for assigned moderately complex client projects.
- Coordinate test team activities, review client test plans and scripts, prioritize test execution, and provide feedback to internal and external clients.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with software testing, coding, designing, and developing.
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Java.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and server tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience maintaining automation frameworks and test tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Experience with Java, IntelliJ, and Selenium.
- Strong communication, documentation, critical thinking, attention to detail, self-motivation, resourcefulness, teamwork, and ownership.
- Preferred experience with Appium, HTML/CSS/XPath, ADB, Maven, API testing, Cucumber, Gherkin, automation framework creation, and point-of-sale systems.
- Preferred knowledge of GCP and AWS.
