Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration of on-premises and hybrid network environments to AWS.
- Design multi-account VPC architectures, subnet segmentation, routing, NAT, internet gateways, load balancing, and Transit Gateway connectivity.
- Implement hybrid connectivity using AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, and BGP routing.
- Define security policies using Security Groups, network ACLs, AWS Network Firewall, third-party firewalls, SCPs, and IAM boundaries.
- Design and operate production-grade Amazon EKS clusters, including multi-cluster strategies, cluster networking, autoscaling, node lifecycle, ingress, and workload migration.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes application networking, pod communication, DNS, scalability, and resilience issues.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform, implement GitOps with Argo CD, build CI/CD pipelines, and develop scripts using Python or Go.
- Lead migration risk assessment, rollback planning, phased cutovers, cost and performance optimization, and post-migration availability improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert, make team decisions, collaborate across teams, mentor junior members, and coordinate with stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of AWS Networking experience is required.
- The detailed experience profile requests 6–9 years in AWS infrastructure, networking, and cloud migrations.
- Strong expertise in AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, BGP, routing, firewalls, segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.
- Strong production experience designing, scaling, and optimizing Amazon EKS and Kubernetes networking.
- Strong Terraform expertise, including modular design and remote state management.
- Experience with GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and Kyverno policy-as-code.
- Scripting experience with Python or Go.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture skills.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Kubernetes experience is listed as a good-to-have qualification.
