Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define the technical strategy and architecture for Red Team visibility, telemetry, detection, deconfliction, and operational security.
- Identify systemic visibility and control gaps from Red Team operations, security incidents, threat intelligence, and adversary activity, and translate them into engineering investments.
- Architect and build scalable services and data pipelines that collect, normalize, enrich, and correlate Red Team telemetry.
- Develop monitoring, hunting, detection, and alerting capabilities that distinguish authorized Red Team activity from genuine adversary behavior.
- Build deconfliction capabilities combining operational context, asset and identity information, infrastructure signals, and behavioral telemetry while protecting sensitive information.
- Own and evolve the authoritative inventory of Red Team assets, infrastructure, tooling, identities, and related metadata.
- Improve testing, reliability, observability, secure development, deployment, and infrastructure lifecycle practices.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture, implementation, reviews, debugging, operational response, mentorship, and cross-team influence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience in cybersecurity, including areas such as security telemetry, detection engineering, security monitoring, incident response, threat analytics, cloud security, identity security, endpoint security, or offensive security infrastructure.
- Experience designing distributed services, data pipelines, automation, or large-scale security platforms.
- Ability to set technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces, identify systemic risks, and develop durable engineering solutions.
- Ability to influence architecture, priorities, and execution across multiple teams and organizations and communicate with technical stakeholders.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- The role has a U.S. base pay range of $142,800-$274,800 per year, with a separate range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position will remain open for a minimum of five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
