Responsibilities
- Work independently with minimal supervision and strong decision-making skills.
- Analyze, develop, code, test, debug, and document programming to meet business requirements.
- Convert existing SAS code into efficient, automated, and maintainable code.
- Engage with client teams for design and architecture decisions, work estimation, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with database and support teams to resolve application issues.
- Define test plans and write Level-one feature tests with QA.
- Write functional specifications and design documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project team members and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement scalable functionalities using SAS applications like SAS EG, SAS DI, and Hadoop.
Requirements
- 7-13 years of SAS experience in developing, configuring, and administering SAS solutions.
- Proficient in Base SAS, Macro, PROC SQL, and SAS DI Studio.
- Experience in creating reusable macros and automated reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of scheduling with LSF Platform Suite and Unix file-system.
- Experience in performance tuning SAS servers and troubleshooting SAS jobs.
- Banking industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with credit risk management and stress testing is a plus.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
