Responsibilities
- Design and develop features and tools supporting large-scale Windows OS code changes and servicing.
- Reproduce, debug, and fix validation and experiences tool pipeline problems.
- Develop high-quality fixes with low compatibility risk.
- Improve the performance and reliability of existing systems.
- Collaborate with OS engineers and partner teams to debug, develop, test, and ship updates.
- Improve products, tools, and processes for long-term customer and organizational benefit.
- Mentor engineers on the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 7+ years of professional software development experience with C#, Azure, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with C#, C++, or equivalent programming skills.
- Understanding of Azure and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases and debug server-side, multithreaded, and highly scalable applications.
- Experience with Azure services including Service Fabric, Kubernetes, Azure Batch, and Key Vault.
- Experience with large-scale services, architectures, and technologies.
- Proven design, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, quality, and engineering excellence skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
