Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and features supporting laboratory operations.
- Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using Python and/or Java.
- Implement solutions using relational and graph database technologies.
- Deploy and maintain services in the AWS cloud environment.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Own significant features and projects from design through deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Five years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and developing APIs.
- Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks with strong problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience with Flask or FastAPI.
- Preferred: familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Preferred: experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
- Preferred: familiarity with Docker.
- Preferred: exposure to graph databases or NoSQL technologies.
