Responsibilities
- Design and run comprehensive functional, system, integration, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and risk-based tests.
- Own quality for assigned product areas and maintain requirement traceability, coverage maps, test matrices, and scenario combinations.
- Test distributed microservices, APIs, event streams, databases, third-party integrations, and complete customer workflows.
- Validate cloud behavior including scalability, failover, resiliency, multi-tenancy, deployments, and configuration-dependent behavior.
- Investigate intermittent, concurrency, timing, data integrity, and distributed-system defects using logs, monitoring, observability tools, and SQL/NoSQL queries.
- Perform impact analysis, sanity checks, regression testing, and cross-functional validation for releases, patches, and hotfixes.
- Write detailed defect reports with root cause, reproduction steps, business impact, and troubleshooting information.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams on requirements, assumptions, release readiness, and quality risks.
Requirements
- 7 –8+ years of software QA experience, including functional, system, integration, and end-to-end testing of enterprise SaaS or cloud products.
- Hands-on experience testing distributed, microservices-based applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong test design, coverage planning, risk-based prioritization, and test matrix development skills.
- Hands-on REST API testing using Postman or similar tools and backend validation with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong debugging skills with logs, APIs, databases, and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure concepts as they affect testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with fast release cycles.
- Strong ownership, analytical thinking, independent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with Contact Center, CCaaS, Unified Communications, CX, telephony, or omnichannel workflows is preferred.
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, performance or load testing, resiliency testing, or chaos testing is preferred.
- Basic security-testing knowledge and ISTQB Advanced or equivalent certification are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
