Responsibilities
- Design and analyze test scenarios, test cases, test strategies, and test plans.
- Perform manual, functional, UI, API, and web-services testing and analyze test results.
- Develop and maintain automated regression solutions and scripts using supported testing tools.
- Report, track, and manage defects and tasks using bug-tracking systems.
- Participate in test design, documentation, automation script reviews, sprint planning, and scrum events.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to support automation development, maintenance, and code reviews.
- Suggest product enhancements that improve usability and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor junior testers and collaborate with the SyteLine/Infor CSI IPC team and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in manual and automation testing across UI and API layers.
- MCA or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science is preferred; other disciplines may qualify with strong technical skills.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, Robot Framework, and automation framework patterns such as POM, hybrid, or data-driven frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API automation and tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Kubernetes, Git, and JavaScript for integration and automation workflows.
- Experience writing and executing test cases, analyzing results, reporting defects, and using tools such as Jira, Zephyr Scale, or Bugzilla.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, HTTP, client-server communication, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior testers and participate in code reviews and sprint activities.
- ISTQB or other testing-related certifications, knowledge of business applications and processes, Excel charting, and ERP functional knowledge are preferred or advantageous.
