Base Salary
$275k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the organization's security architecture strategy.
- Identify and prioritize critical security initiatives based on risk assessments.
- Design and implement security frameworks and architectures.
- Provide expertise on secure coding practices and cloud security.
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and guide the implementation of security controls.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions.
- Lead the implementation of security technologies across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on security matters.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to embed security in technology projects.
- Mentor junior security engineers and foster a culture of security awareness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Lead the design and implementation of incident response plans.
- Oversee post-incident analysis and recovery efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, focusing on security architecture.
- Proven experience in leading security initiatives and influencing senior leadership.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or Golang.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
- Strong understanding of network, cloud, application security, and data protection technologies.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and IAM solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex security concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are highly desirable.
