Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain automotive test environments including head units, mobile devices, backend servers, simulators, and test benches.
  • Execute manual functional, smoke, sanity, regression, integration, system, acceptance, and end-to-end testing for automotive software features.
  • Create, review, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, test procedures, test suites, and test scenarios.
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, use cases, specifications, and design documents to derive test scenarios.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with supporting logs, traces, screenshots, and test evidence.
  • Support root cause analysis, verify defect fixes, and conduct impact analysis through regression testing.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results using test management and documentation tools.
  • Maintain project documentation in Confluence and organizational repositories.
  • Collaborate with development, systems engineering, requirements, and validation teams on software quality.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, test planning sessions, defect triages, and project meetings.
  • Follow automotive quality processes, testing standards, and project compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience manually testing automotive infotainment, connectivity, navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or telematics features.
  • Experience validating end-to-end vehicle infotainment functionality across vehicle programs, regions, and software releases.
  • Strong experience with black-box and functional testing of automotive software features.
  • Experience executing smoke, sanity, regression, integration, and system testing on bench setups and vehicle environments.
  • Familiarity with defect management, test planning, test execution, test reporting, requirement management, and defect tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive infotainment systems, connectivity, navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and telematics domains.
  • Understanding of automotive communication protocols, logs, and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with CANoe, ADB, log analysis tools, and vehicle test benches.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, C#, or Shell scripting is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, written communication, verbal communication, teamwork, collaboration, and customer-facing capabilities.
  • Experience with AAOS, navigation systems, telematics and connectivity, HMI validation, or vehicle integration testing is beneficial.
