Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into comprehensive test cases covering all possible test conditions.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for mobile applications and REST APIs using Python, Appium, and related frameworks.
- Perform frontend, backend, database, functional, nonfunctional, performance, security, and integration testing.
- Maintain test cases, update results, and provide test status updates using Azure DevOps or another test management tool.
- Collaborate with product teams, product management, overseas counterparts, and testing teams to resolve issues and improve test efficiency.
- Conduct peer reviews of code and designs to reduce testability issues.
- Debug system-level issues and support testing at customer or partner sites as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on Python programming and mobile application testing experience on iOS and Android.
- Experience with backend, frontend, REST API, database query, test automation, and performance testing.
- Experience with Appium and REST API test automation development.
- Knowledge of Windows, Android, iOS, SQL databases or KSQL, networking, testing concepts, test processes, test design, and testing techniques.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps or another test management tool, Azure or cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating across teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, written communication, organization, and independent-working skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet schedules, work flexible hours for customer deliverables, and travel across geographical boundaries when required.
- Experience with hardware, firmware, and software integration testing is desired.
- Security testing, IoT projects, integrated test environments, system-level debugging, home automation, security-domain testing, and customer- or partner-site testing experience are advantageous.
