Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical SME and advisor for mission applications under the Chinook Program.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications and backend services.
- Build scalable software across front-end and back-end tiers, including RESTful APIs, microservices, data services, and system integrations.
- Translate mission and technical requirements into software architecture and implementation plans.
- Provide technical leadership for software design, architecture, coding standards, code reviews, and engineering practices.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces and optimize database schemas, queries, data-access layers, and data-processing workflows.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and production issues.
- Support automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, containerized applications, and cloud-enabled environments.
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers and promote consistent engineering practices.
- Evaluate technologies and improve application performance, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
- U.S. citizenship is required per contract.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JSON, REST APIs, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Go.
- Experience with front-end and back-end frameworks including React, Angular, Vue.js, jQuery, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, Flask, or Svelte.
- Experience with AWS, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, AWS C2S/GovCloud, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Keycloak, and Vault.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch, as well as Windows, Linux, and Git.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and tools including JIRA and Confluence.
- Understanding of OGC WMS/WFS, NSG, GEOINT workflows, messaging/event-driven architecture, observability, logging, monitoring, and application performance management.
- Preferred qualifications include Intelligence Community mission-system experience, UI/UX experience, and certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or SAFe Agile.
