Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs using Python and GenAI technologies.
- Design and build GenAI applications including RAG solutions, chatbots, and agentic applications.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, systems analysis, and application development.
- Manage development activities across analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and user support.
- Build high-performance APIs with FastAPI and work with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies.
- Deploy and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop security measures and perform post-implementation analysis of business usage and system functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams; recommend programming solutions and support business applications.
- Advise or coach junior analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Follow operating procedures, assess technology and business risks, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Python-based application development.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing GenAI applications with Python and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
- Practical experience building RAG, chatbot, and agentic-design use cases.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as pgvector and Pinecone; experience with Google ADK is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of Python internals, advanced Python features, and asynchronous programming such as asyncio.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, relational databases including PostgreSQL and Oracle, SQL, and ORM technologies such as SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD principles and pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices and agile methodologies.
- Experience in systems analysis, software application programming, and successful project implementation.
- Knowledge of Java is highly valued.
- Ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, manage deadlines, and handle changing requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
