Base Salary
$245k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the Site Reliability Engineering team and broader Cloud Platform.
- Define and champion SRE best practices across the organization.
- Design resilient architectures, identify risks, and drive implementation.
- Build and promote an automate-everything culture across build, test, deployment, and monitoring.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to internal or customer-facing availability incidents.
- Translate near-, mid-, and long-term business needs into a scalable, resilient platform roadmap.
- Drive architectural decisions focused on security, scalability, and high performance.
- Mentor engineers and multiply team output through leadership and guidance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience.
- 5+ years of coding experience.
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform or a similar cloud provider.
- Ability to build resilient infrastructure and deep understanding of backup/recovery systems, cloud storage architecture, and distributed systems.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CircleCI, and ArgoCD.
- Experience with AI-enabled development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Zed.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and technical skills.
- Ability to review human- and AI-generated code.
- Interest in helping customers and learning a new product.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Bonus: multi-region support, expert database management, AI infrastructure management, or TypeScript experience.
