Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Communicate technical product requirements, gather user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and create configuration plans and timelines.
- Lead end-to-end implementations of Inpatient Operations and Surgical Growth solutions, including data-source validation, workflow and capacity metric configuration, unit testing, and customer sign-off.
- Develop, execute, refine, and optimize SQL queries against Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery to validate data quality and system behavior.
- Query relational databases, configure EMR systems, and develop monitoring and automated alerting for production data quality issues.
- Identify and resolve interoperability issues, analyze data pipeline failures, evaluate HL7/FHIR configurations, and implement corrections.
- Manage data migrations from legacy hospital systems while maintaining data integrity and minimizing disruption to patient care.
- Own post-deployment customer issues from identification through resolution and coordinate internal teams to restore normal system function.
- Create deployment-related technical content and training materials and deliver technical training to employees and customer teams.
- Identify product administration and configuration gaps, design workarounds or reconfigurations, and recommend platform improvements.
- Participate in technical architecture discussions for hospital integrations and collaborate with R&D on scalable platform evolution.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience with modern programming languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
- Demonstrated experience building, debugging, and enhancing production healthcare data transformation pipelines.
- Highly proficient in SQL and at least one modern data warehouse, such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or BigQuery.
- Experience translating hospital requirements into technical designs for inpatient or surgical operations and executing across multiple technologies and platforms.
- Understanding of healthcare data structures related to bed management, patient flow, operating room scheduling, or surgical case volume.
- Familiarity with relational database technologies including Redshift and RDS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with clinical leadership, hospital IT teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with Mirth or Rhapsody integration middleware is a plus.
- Experience integrating EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is a plus.
- Experience with dbt, Terraform, Looker, and/or Ansible is a plus.
- Background building hospital performance metrics and real-time clinical monitoring systems is a plus.
