Responsibilities
- Analyze system performance, CPU/GPU workloads, benchmarks, and key performance indicators.
- Validate performance and debug performance issues on Windows and Android compute devices.
- Analyze system architecture and product features to optimize performance.
- Write, review, and edit product technical documentation for the assigned technology area.
- Customize Qualcomm software to meet customer requirements in collaboration with development teams.
- Debug complex issues in customer software systems and work with development teams to identify root causes.
- Develop customized scripting tools for profiling system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- At least 1 year of academic and/or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 1 year of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
- Experience with C, C++, RTOS, OS internals, kernel programming, and UNIX, Windows, or Linux computing platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, adaptability, and learning skills.
- Experience using Windows performance tools such as WPA, WPR, and GPUView is preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows OS internals, systrace, memory management, and schedulers is preferred.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Visual Studio for writing applications to analyze DLL and function behavior and performance across architectures is preferred.
- Understanding of software environments and toolchains.
