Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize applications using Spring Boot, React, and the Microsoft/Java technology stack where applicable
  • Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and functional technical solutions
  • Build and maintain REST APIs, integrate messaging queues, and implement asynchronous and event-driven patterns
  • Design database schemas and migrations for MySQL and PostgreSQL while optimizing queries and performance
  • Support infrastructure-as-code efforts and deploy applications to multi-environment AWS infrastructure
  • Secure APIs using OAuth2, Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization
  • Maintain, upgrade, and refactor existing codebases to improve efficiency and performance
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests and support CI/CD and observability efforts
  • Collaborate with product, QA, business analysts, US-based stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams
  • Propose technical approaches, create implementation plans, investigate production issues, and resolve defects
  • Mentor peers, conduct technical research and internal training, document test results, and participate in code reviews and Agile sprints

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux/Reactor
  • Strong experience with React, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap-based responsive user interfaces
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, or similar, plus event-driven patterns
  • Practical experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and SSM
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with web services; WCF or .NET familiarity is a plus
  • Fintech or payments domain knowledge, including ACH, NACHA, reconciliation, or FBO models, is desirable
  • Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code experience and multi-environment infrastructure management are desirable
  • Reactive programming experience with Mono/Flux, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and multi-tier distributed applications are desirable
