Base Salary

$114k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for junior software engineers.
  • Develop and modernize C/C++ software using modern C++ standards and features.
  • Develop software infrastructure supporting CI/CD, software metrics collection, and MLOps.
  • Design and implement modular, scalable, reliable, precise, accurate, and high-performance software systems and architectures.
  • Analyze system requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Design, code, debug, modify, and maintain software applications.
  • Work with Software Leads and Architects to understand program intent, system capabilities, and output requirements.
  • Apply and maintain software engineering best practices and standards.

Requirements

  • Principal level: bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
  • Senior Principal level: bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance and enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
  • Ability to meet customer-specific security screening requirements and successfully transfer an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience working in C/C++ and familiarity with modern C++ standards, including C++17 or later.
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Git-based or other software configuration management tools.
  • Experience with open software/system architecture solutions and software design, coding, debugging, and defect correction.
  • Preferred: C++20 or later, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, CUDA, GPUs, high-performance numerical or scientific computing, parallel computing, SWaP-constrained environments, signal-processing algorithms, Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
