Responsibilities
- Manage incidents, application monitoring, reporting, alerting, and corrective actions.
- Debug complex application systems and troubleshoot business-impacting issues.
- Improve operational efficiency, system stability, and availability using established standards and best practices.
- Deploy, support, and evolve software using DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
- Use logging, monitoring, and metrics to identify incident root causes.
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements to existing codebases.
- Apply cloud and security best practices, including resource optimization, monitoring, and alerting.
- Mentor less experienced peers and junior-level consultants through technical guidance and leadership.
- Participate in a need-based 24x7 support rotation.
Requirements
- Experience with Node and Java programming, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Understanding of monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Strong debugging, triaging, and code troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
- Experience with application monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Ability to produce high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and code enhancements.
- Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong communication, articulation, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the external technology community through speaking, open source, blogging, or similar activities.
