Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of distributed Java microservices using Spring Boot for high-volume ingestion, reconciliation, and enrichment.
- Architect idempotent ingestion workflows, transactional staging, validation engines, batch and stream pipelines, reconciliation logic, and asynchronous processing.
- Design secure, performant, versioned APIs, domain models, caching strategies, and high-concurrency enterprise interfaces.
- Provide architectural oversight for React and TypeScript integration and collaborate with UI engineers on frontend-backend contracts and state synchronization.
- Drive adoption of Devin, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and AI-assisted engineering workflows for prototyping, code generation, refactoring, and test creation.
- Enforce design patterns, domain-driven design, test automation, clean architecture, and CI/CD practices.
- Mentor senior engineers and lead technical design reviews, coding standards, architectural decisions, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
- Ensure systems meet enterprise security, role-based access control, SSO, and audit traceability requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant enterprise distributed-systems architecture and delivery.
- Expert-level knowledge of Java 21/25, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong relational database design experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL, including query optimization, indexing, and transactional integrity.
- Proven experience designing batch and stream ingestion pipelines, reconciliation logic, and asynchronous processing engines.
- Extensive experience creating documented, versioned, and secure APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD automation, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- React, TypeScript, and modern state-management experience or familiarity is a significant advantage.
- Ability to operate with architectural autonomy, solve complex problems, lead technical strategy, and communicate trade-offs to senior leadership.
