Responsibilities
- Build and extend AI agent capabilities across service, claims, and operations on conversational AI platforms.
- Develop and maintain APIs connecting AI vendors to Salesforce, Snapsheet, NICE, and Auth0.
- Build proofs of concept for vendor evaluation spikes, document findings, and contribute to go/no-go decisions.
- Build data export pipelines from AI vendor platforms into the data warehouse for downstream analytics.
- Instrument integrations with meaningful metrics and contribute to cost-to-serve reporting.
- Support go-live operations, including routing configuration, traffic management, and fallback validation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for incidents during US business hours.
- Collaborate with senior and staff engineers through daily mentorship and ownership of integration work.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with Postgres or an equivalent relational database.
- AWS experience covering cloud infrastructure, deployment, and tooling.
- Experience working with third-party vendor SDKs and APIs, including those with limited or evolving documentation.
- Strong debugging skills across distributed and multi-service systems.
- Familiarity with test-driven development principles and interest in owning integration and contract test coverage.
- A metric-driven approach with attention to observability and measuring engineering impact.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Insurance, Insurtech, or adjacent regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Salesforce integration experience is preferred.
- Experience with NICE CXOne or other contact center platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with conversational AI platforms is preferred.
