Responsibilities
- Own the Android Audio Framework and HAL layers for automotive infotainment systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of audio components and framework/HAL extensions for automotive requirements.
- Implement audio focus and priority management, audio routing, and custom interfaces for extended functionality.
- Meet audio performance KPIs including latency and CPU usage.
- Customize Android code for car infotainment systems and work with Android HAL, Linux drivers, and core Android frameworks for middleware infrastructure.
- Break user features into technical tasks, create and groom backlogs, and plan incremental sprint work against program milestones.
- Conduct daily stand-ups and communicate progress with global teams.
- Perform peer reviews of designs and code and ensure traceability to software architecture and requirements.
- Ensure software process compliance and request the input needed to fulfill role responsibilities.
Requirements
- Extremely proficient in C and C++ programming.
- Strong system programming skills, object-oriented programming knowledge, and understanding of operating-system internals.
- Experience programming in the Android environment, including Binder and shared memory.
- Experience with Android HAL, Linux drivers, core Android frameworks, and the open-source Android ecosystem.
- Experience with Android-based automotive infotainment systems is relevant to the role.
- Hands-on experience with AI on the cloud side is required or strongly expected, with automotive AI experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of language systems and LLMs.
- Ability to stay aware of current and developing technology.
- Good communication skills in Chinese and English.
- Ability to work effectively with global teams.
