Base Salary
$269k - $326k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and promote secure-by-default engineering practices.
- Design and build security controls, libraries, guardrails, and reusable patterns in code.
- Develop and scale automated security tooling for SAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection, and fuzzing.
- Build detection and prevention mechanisms for abuse, data exfiltration, and supply chain risks.
- Automate vulnerability triage, prioritization, and remediation workflows.
- Integrate security into developer workflows and internal platforms while reducing friction.
- Design controls and guardrails for agentic and AI-assisted workflows, including defenses against prompt injection, data exfiltration, and privilege misuse.
- Contribute to secure system design, architecture reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, and AppSec on-call rotations.
- Help evolve Roblox security tooling and platforms and influence engineering teams through practical solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, application security, or security engineering.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of Python, Go, C#, JavaScript, Rust, or C++.
- Experience building and scaling security automation for SAST, software composition analysis, secrets detection, and fuzzing.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, authentication models, common vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
- Experience with cloud environments, APIs, microservices, distributed architectures, Linux or Windows systems, networking, and system-level security.
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable systems and translating security risks into practical engineering solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes building security platforms, tools, developer frameworks, internal developer tooling, or security platforms.
- Preferred knowledge includes cryptography, PKI, TLS, container security, Kubernetes, SBOMs, signing, provenance, and build integrity.
