Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Facilitate security throughout the software development lifecycle and promote software security best practices through training and information sharing
- Define the security roadmap, requirements, and priorities for Core Command security services, web frontend, and mobile applications
- Perform architecture analysis, threat modeling, and technical design reviews of sensitive features and infrastructure
- Set up security tooling and secure defaults
- Create and operate a bug bounty program and triage security bugs from tools, third-party assessments, and bug bounties
- Partner with engineering, product, engineering leaders, the CISO, and the broader security team to improve product security and execute security priorities
- Help engineers develop their security reasoning and knowledge and share security expertise through conferences and blogs
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience as a security engineer in an advisory role
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or another cloud service provider
- Understanding of security weaknesses, exploits, attacks, and mitigations
- Ability to write production Python or Go code, conduct security code reviews, build proofs of concept, and implement automation scripts
- Experience with most of the following: Security Development Lifecycle, threat modeling, architecture analysis, technical design review, and security code review
- Strong collaboration and excellent written and verbal communication skills
