Responsibilities
- Develop Python-based backend services, REST APIs, serverless applications, automation utilities, data/ML services, and microservices on AWS.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate containerized application and ML workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Helm, and delivery pipelines.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable, highly available, resilient, and cost-aware AWS architectures.
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Build MLOps capabilities for model training, validation, packaging, registration, deployment, monitoring, retraining, rollback, and governance.
- Implement cloud, Kubernetes, observability, security, backup, disaster-recovery, and incident-response practices.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance and cost optimization, release coordination, and production support.
- Make technical and team-level decisions, mentor junior team members, establish reusable engineering practices, and align solutions with business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required; the posting additionally describes 10–12 years of overall AWS cloud engineering and software development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python, Amazon Web Services, Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, DevOps, and MLOps.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, Kubernetes and EKS operations, Docker, MLOps, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud networking, security, high availability, resilience, and observability.
- Experience with Python backend and cloud solutions, APIs, databases, event-driven services, ML workflows, automated training and validation, model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, rollback, and governance.
- Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, API design, microservices, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SRE principles, and SDLC methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, mentoring, stakeholder-management, and technical-leadership skills.
- 15 years of full-time education.
