Base Salary
$124k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components for AI/ML Data Platforms.
- Write secure, high-quality Python and other software code with limited guidance.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance and automation tools while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding standards.
- Apply observability practices including monitoring, telemetry collection, and service-level objective alerting.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Apply software development lifecycle processes, technical troubleshooting, and application resiliency practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code in a large corporate environment, with one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
- Experience with white-box and black-box monitoring, service-level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using observability tools.
- Strong understanding of SLI, SLO, SLA, and error budgets.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle and exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Spark data pipelines, AWS and Databricks platform administration, and Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.
