Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build customer-facing ECS API endpoints and Infrastructure-as-Code resource providers for CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
- Collaborate with ECS backend teams and AWS-wide IaC teams on API contracts, resource models, feature designs, and release plans.
- Own internal platform tooling, feature flag systems, automated testing pipelines, and deployment safety mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and author API and IaC design documents.
- Participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent reliability and performance improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3 or more years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
