Responsibilities

  • Build C++ software components using industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.
  • Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and related applications.
  • Design and develop applications and APIs for devices and define user requirements.
  • Collaborate with programmers and developers throughout the development process.
  • Ensure ArcGIS software supports real-world usage scenarios.
  • Solve and articulate complex application design, development, and user-experience problems.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Fluency in modern C++ and associated technologies including STL, Boost, Clang, and MSVC.
  • Object-oriented design skills and understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, mapping, GIS, or a related field.
  • Existing work authorization for Spain.
  • Preferred experience with IDEs, compilers, and development tools for Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android.
  • Preferred proficiency with OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, or Metal.
  • Preferred familiarity with GIS applications and technologies, client-side RESTful web-service support, Unity, and Unreal Engine.
  • A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field is preferred.
