Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve scalable, highly reliable services.
- Deliver and improve engineering systems and practices for complex cloud environments.
- Design and automate service scaling features and customer requirements.
- Investigate pre-production and production issues and implement and deploy fixes.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, typically one week every 6–8 weeks, within a secure facility.
- Provide application architecture, cloud design, infrastructure development, and end-to-end implementation for sovereign and government clouds.
- Operate production services and collaborate with engineering teams to meet stability, performance, SLA, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on a Single Scope Background Investigation with Polygraph.
- Successful clearance verification, Microsoft Cloud background check, and U.S. citizenship verification are required.
- Preferred: understanding of CI/CD concepts and Git.
- Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on Windows or Linux systems experience.
- Preferred: experience debugging operating system, application, and cloud issues and solving operational problems at scale.
- Preferred: experience supporting 24/7 live-site services and large-scale production services with logging, monitoring, alerting, reliability, and availability measurement.
- Preferred: proficiency in at least one scripting language and experience moving solutions into managed code.
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes and related technologies, Azure DevOps, and GitHub tooling.
- Preferred: communication and collaboration skills for working with Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security Researchers, and Data Scientists.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100–$202,200 per year; a different range applies to the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation and requires work within a secure facility.
