Base Salary
$85k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud services for Azure AI Platform workloads in air-gapped and sovereign cloud environments.
- Apply automation, observability, testing, resiliency, and secure-by-default engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop automated systems for deployment, validation, telemetry, and operations to reduce manual work and improve engineering velocity.
- Use AI-assisted development and operational tools, including GitHub Copilot and safe LLM workflows, for coding, debugging, documentation, and prototyping.
- Participate in on-call rotations, investigate service issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Incorporate customer and partner feedback into engineering decisions and collaborate across engineering teams through clear communication and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- U.S. citizenship verification due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as Azure, C# or Python, CI/CD and automation best practices, and debugging cloud services and operational tooling.
- Preferred: ability and willingness to learn rapidly in evolving AI and infrastructure environments.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $85,400–$168,100 per year; a separate range applies to the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
