Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain APIs and interface software for Leo government customer needs.
  • Use network topology and Software Defined Networking or network operations expertise to collaborate with the Leo network team.
  • Develop forward-looking software services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability applications.
  • Demonstrate interfaces and architectures in a simulated test environment.
  • Solve complex technical problems for government customers within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate with internal and vendor teams to develop and deliver software and interface requirements.
  • Ensure systems meet performance requirements for availability, reliability, upgradeability, interoperability, and security.
  • Communicate project health, risks, issues, visualizations, and results to stakeholders and management.
  • Escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of Software Defined Networking or network operations experience.
