Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain APIs and interface software for Leo government customer needs.
- Use network topology and Software Defined Networking or network operations expertise to collaborate with the Leo network team.
- Develop forward-looking software services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability applications.
- Demonstrate interfaces and architectures in a simulated test environment.
- Solve complex technical problems for government customers within a multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate with internal and vendor teams to develop and deliver software and interface requirements.
- Ensure systems meet performance requirements for availability, reliability, upgradeability, interoperability, and security.
- Communicate project health, risks, issues, visualizations, and results to stakeholders and management.
- Escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of Software Defined Networking or network operations experience.
