$102k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the C++ codebase that delivers the Windows Update experience.
- Collaborate within the team and across product groups to deliver end-to-end experiences.
- Build automated testing assets and improve the testing experience.
- Analyze data to inform product quality and future engineering investments.
- Develop software that supports cloud-controlled orchestration of Windows updates on client devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languages, with C++ required.
- Experience with API design.
- Strong coding, debugging, design, implementation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to improve software quality, performance, and reliability through engineering excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment and multitask.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100–$202,200 per year, with a separate range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
