Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality Android applications for public safety and enterprise communications.
- Use Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android architecture components, and Flutter or similar cross-platform frameworks.
- Implement and maintain multi-module Gradle projects, build variants, flavors, and dependency management.
- Work with Android lifecycle components, services, broadcast receivers, content providers, intent filters, telephony APIs, power management, and background limits.
- Integrate Java/Kotlin code with native C/C++ using JNI and SWIG-generated wrapper classes.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, multithreading, synchronization, and concurrency.
- Apply SIP, RTP, RTCP, TCP, and UDP protocols in telecom and VoIP applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on Java experience for Android development.
- Working knowledge of Kotlin and experience integrating Kotlin modules into Java-based projects.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK API 35+ and Android framework APIs.
- Experience with Android architecture, repository patterns, lifecycle components, Gradle, and Android Studio debugging and profiling tools.
- Hands-on experience with JNI, SWIG-generated wrappers, native C/C++ integration, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Extensive experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP, and TCP/UDP protocols.
- Proficiency in the telecom domain and development of mobile applications for public safety or enterprise communication.
- Knowledge of Flutter or a similar cross-platform framework is preferred.
