Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, connectors, APIs, and related enterprise technologies.
- Develop reusable patterns for retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, agent instructions, prompt libraries, workflow automation, human-in-the-loop review, evaluation, monitoring, and safe action execution.
- Define and operate governance standards for enterprise, team, and individual agents, including ownership, access, sharing, environments, lifecycle, monitoring, retirement, and support.
- Establish Power Platform engineering patterns covering Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, solution packaging, environment management, application lifecycle management, deployment pipelines, and connection references.
- Improve Microsoft 365 data readiness by strengthening permissions hygiene, reducing oversharing, improving search and discoverability, curating knowledge sources, and aligning retention and sensitivity practices with AI usage.
- Build operational practices for usage reporting, cost monitoring, auditability, incident response, service health, platform baselines, risk reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Design secure data access and integration patterns using least privilege, scoped connectors, user permissions, identity, audit logging, DLP alignment, and approved architecture standards.
- Evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, retrieval and grounding quality, prompt safety, latency, cost, permissions behavior, and operational supportability.
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, decision records, platform patterns, and executive-ready materials while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft and enterprise AI capabilities and recommend adoption approaches balancing value, security, governance, and operational discipline.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in AI engineering, software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, Microsoft 365 engineering, or Power Platform engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience building, integrating, or operating enterprise AI solutions involving large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, AI agents, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled automation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, PowerShell, APIs, or related Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience designing secure AI data access patterns involving permissions inheritance, least privilege, scoped connectors, identity management, auditability, DLP alignment, and information protection controls.
- Experience with Power Platform governance and application lifecycle management, including environments, connectors, managed solutions, pipelines, Dataverse, service accounts, connection references, and citizen-developer support models.
- Experience improving Microsoft 365 data readiness through permissions cleanup, content lifecycle management, search and discoverability, knowledge-source curation, information architecture, retention, sensitivity labels, or data governance.
- Experience with AI evaluation and operations, including response quality testing, retrieval testing, prompt testing, hallucination reduction, monitoring, observability, feedback loops, latency, and cost optimization.
- Strong engineering judgment, documentation ability, communication skills, and ability to translate business and governance needs into secure, scalable, supportable technical solutions.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, build trust across stakeholders, and explain technical concepts and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Information Security, Legal, Privacy, Records, Enterprise Architecture, data teams, vendors, and business stakeholders; Microsoft certifications; regulated or complex enterprise experience; and experience with ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Enterprise, Semantic Kernel, Azure AI Search, or similar technologies.
