Responsibilities
- Develop Layer 1 software for a 5G/6G UE Simulator.
- Configure and test simulators on underlying hardware to ensure correct and reliable behavior.
- Contribute to analysis, system design, pre-development, and incremental implementation.
- Support Ericsson internal users of the simulator product.
- Work with multi-core, multithreaded, and parallel-processing techniques to simulate multiple data-link connections efficiently.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills and the ability to write high-quality C or Golang code.
- Familiarity with LTE or 5G standards and protocols, including physical-layer specifications.
- Knowledge of RF propagation, modulation schemes, and signal processing.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and software-to-hardware interaction, ideally with hands-on hardware configuration and testing experience.
- Knowledge of multi-core or multithreading processor programming and parallel processing.
- BSc or MSc-level education in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Python and Java experience is preferred.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Knowledge of Git and GitLab, experience with Jenkins or another CI/CD orchestrator, and familiarity with event-driven CI/CD architectures are valued.
