Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end large-scale search solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms that improve search quality, relevance, and user experience.
- Explore and integrate machine learning techniques, architectures, and information retrieval approaches.
- Own technical goals and strategic roadmaps for critical Workspace Search areas.
- Establish and refine evaluation frameworks, metrics, and key performance indicators for search quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and model builders to drive technical alignment and product delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience with Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, or Machine Learning.
- Experience launching user-facing, large-scale, production-quality systems.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale, high-performance, distributed search or quality systems in production environments.
- Preferred experience with embedding-based retrieval, vector search, query understanding, or Large Language Models applied to search or recommendation systems.
- Preferred experience managing latency improvements and scalability enhancements.
- Preferred background defining metrics, analyzing user-perception surveys, and running complex search experiments.
- Preferred understanding of agentic architectures, tool-calling, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation grounding layers.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, including driving technical alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
