Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement enterprise infrastructure platforms and systems, with a focus on network automation and NetDevOps.
- Establish CI/CD automation products and reusable frameworks for Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 network operations.
- Develop automation, monitoring, optimization, validation, testing, compliance, rollback, auditability, and change-governance capabilities.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration across Cisco, Arista, Gigamon, and other multi-vendor network environments.
- Collaborate with network engineering, cybersecurity, platform engineering, architecture, operations, risk, compliance, and change-management teams.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support high availability, performance, governance, regulatory adherence, and operational reliability.
- Provide technical guidance to lower-level professionals and mentor infrastructure engineers in automation, Git-based workflows, testing, and modern software engineering practices.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled capabilities that improve automation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, operational efficiency, and software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware technologies.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure automation, NetDevOps, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience designing and establishing network automation platforms, CI/CD capabilities, or infrastructure automation products from concept through enterprise adoption.
- Advanced GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development experience, including multi-stage pipelines, runners, environments, merge requests, security scanning integration, deployment governance, and Git-based development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform, including playbooks, roles, inventories, workflow templates, reusable automation content, and large-scale orchestration.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Policy-as-Code using Terraform, Open Policy Agent, and cloud-native tooling.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages for building integrations, automating workflows, consuming APIs, and developing production-quality utilities.
- Experience automating Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 network operations and integrating network inventory, controllers, ITSM platforms, testing frameworks, and enterprise systems.
- Deep network engineering expertise in routing, switching, data center networking, network services, configuration management, and automation across Cisco, Arista, and Gigamon.
- Experience deploying and supporting solutions in Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience in regulated industries and with regulatory, compliance, risk, and audit requirements.
- Strong collaboration, communication, executive presence, accountability, prioritization, and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
