Base Salary
$307k - $427k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational DevAI infrastructure for Google Ads across business verticals and functions.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for cross-cutting Ads internal AI projects, marquee agents, AI-friendly infrastructure, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive AI-forward architecture and self-managing codebases through agentic evaluation-driven development, skills, and context integration.
- Lead the technical strategy and development of the DevAI platform and custom agents.
- Collaborate with technical leaders across Ads PAGs, Core, and GDM to influence roadmaps, technical direction, and broader Buying platforms and Ads vision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of professional engineering experience.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Preferred: technical leadership experience across a large organization, including motivating people and creating shared vision and purpose.
- Preferred: knowledge of Google Ads products, their ecosystems and users, and competitors and their products.
- Preferred: ability to balance detailed technical guidance with big-picture strategy.
- Preferred: thought leadership in identifying and solving engineering problems at Principal Engineer scope and difficulty.
- Preferred: demonstrated technical innovation in large, complex, cross-functional engineering environments.
