Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, performant, reliable software across frontend and backend systems.
- Own the architecture and reliability of backend services and frontend microapps.
- Lead technical design discussions, clarify requirements, and deliver maintainable solutions.
- Develop full-stack projects spanning Python or Java backend APIs and frontend integrations.
- Serve as architectural glue across multiple domains and distributed teams.
- Apply DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native practices to improve delivery efficiency.
- Mentor and coach engineers and raise technical standards across the team.
- Build and integrate intelligent platform features using LLMs, agents, and AI frameworks.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, including best practices, guardrails, tool evaluation, and workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of software development experience building scalable, high-performing, robust applications.
- Strong JavaScript proficiency and full-stack development experience.
- Expertise with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL, including React performance optimization and architectural trade-offs.
- Experience with at least one backend language or framework such as Node.js, Java, or Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Solr, Vespa, or Lucene.
- Cloud-native development experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Familiarity with observability platforms and monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
- Experience with service reliability, on-call ownership, and production incident triage.
- Ability to provide technical leadership within distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.
- Experience driving AI adoption within engineering teams is a strong plus.
