  • Make architecture, quality, testing, release, and technical trade-off decisions across backend, AI-agent, and frontend work.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, and adjacent engineering teams to translate customer feedback into shipped features.
  • Mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and keep the team unblocked and moving.
  • Build and improve systems used by coding agents and other non-human callers, including evaluation and measurement mechanisms.
  • Participate in the team's on-call support rotation.

Requirements

  • Fluency across Go, TypeScript, SvelteKit, React, GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes in a multi-service environment.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to guide architecture, code quality, and engineering trade-offs.

  • Experience partnering with Product and Design to take features from concept to shipment and incorporate customer feedback into roadmaps.
  • Experience building something that agents or other programs call, such as MCP servers, agent SDKs, tool surfaces, harnesses, or CLIs for non-human callers.
  • Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents such as Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in an async-first, globally distributed remote team.
  • Preferred qualifications include orchestrating autonomous work at scale, owning inherited services with paying customers, raising engineering standards, making decisions under uncertainty, building system-quality measurements, engaging directly with customers, and serving as a Team or Tech Lead.

Benefits

  • The role is globally distributed, with preferred locations in Europe or EST and at least 20 hours per week of CEST working-hours overlap.
  • The position includes meaningful equity and generous perks and benefits.
  • The role is an IC5 position with location-based compensation bands.
