Base Salary
$180k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders and product owners to discover high-value AI opportunities, shape roadmaps, and advise on feasibility, cost, risk, and architecture.
- Design and ship secure, production-grade AI solutions using retrieval methods, structured data querying, unstructured data mining, agentic workflows, MCP integration, and A2A frameworks.
- Integrate AI solutions with core systems of record, APIs, relational databases, vector databases, and enterprise systems.
- Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks, least-privilege access controls, ROI and cost attribution, and support plans for production deployments.
- Defend AI systems and data against prompt injection, data leakage, and non-compliant outputs while monitoring production drift and failure modes.
- Develop reusable building blocks, reference architectures, skills, standards, and engineering playbooks, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years working directly on AI and/or ML projects.
- Hands-on experience with retrieval methods, reusable skill development, agentic orchestration, Model Context Protocol integration, and agent-to-agent frameworks.
- Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders to run discovery, translate ambiguous needs into actionable plans, and communicate trade-offs involving risk, cost, performance, and architecture.
- Demonstrated experience securing AI systems and underlying data through least-privilege access controls and defenses against prompt injection, data leakage, and non-compliant outputs.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience deploying AI at scale on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience integrating across APIs, relational and vector databases, enterprise systems, and production monitoring for drift and failure modes.
- Preferred: familiarity with memory management and long-term context architectures for AI agents.
- Preferred: experience with graph-based knowledge systems.
- Preferred: experience building automated AI evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-judge methodologies or large-scale regression testing.
