Base Salary

$160k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the cloud-native control plane for managing thousands of global optical terminals.
  • Build data ingestion and processing systems for real-time field telemetry and performance metrics.
  • Define secure and efficient communication between embedded hardware and cloud services.
  • Lead the Infrastructure as Code strategy for reproducible and resilient global deployments.
  • Develop observability tools and dashboards to help the Network Operations Center troubleshoot optical links.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience building and deploying scalable services on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and/or Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs, including gRPC.
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, and timeseries databases and message brokers such as Prometheus, Pub/Sub, and Kafka.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices, least privilege, IAM roles and policies, and public key cryptography.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible is preferred.
  • Interest in or experience with Angular, React, and TypeScript for internal monitoring tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of L2/L3 networking, VPNs, and secure tunneling is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud services interacting with physical IoT or networking hardware is preferred.
  • Ability to work from the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.
