Base Salary
$160k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the cloud-native control plane for managing thousands of global optical terminals.
- Build data ingestion and processing systems for real-time field telemetry and performance metrics.
- Define secure and efficient communication between embedded hardware and cloud services.
- Lead the Infrastructure as Code strategy for reproducible and resilient global deployments.
- Develop observability tools and dashboards to help the Network Operations Center troubleshoot optical links.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience building and deploying scalable services on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and/or Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes and distributed systems architecture.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs, including gRPC.
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, and timeseries databases and message brokers such as Prometheus, Pub/Sub, and Kafka.
- Experience with cloud security best practices, least privilege, IAM roles and policies, and public key cryptography.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible is preferred.
- Interest in or experience with Angular, React, and TypeScript for internal monitoring tools is preferred.
- Understanding of L2/L3 networking, VPNs, and secure tunneling is preferred.
- Experience with cloud services interacting with physical IoT or networking hardware is preferred.
- Ability to work from the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.
