Responsibilities
- Analyze and test software features.
- Continuously reassess test strategies based on new information, risks, priorities, and schedules.
- Make framework and technology choices and help set technical direction with management.
- Define, implement, and execute functional, regression, and acceptance testing strategies.
- Perform test planning, test automation, environment setup and teardown, exploratory and manual testing, and defect logging and verification.
- Define, create, and maintain test data.
- Provide second-level application support and troubleshoot existing application problems.
- Create automated test cases in partnership with developers and product managers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Experience testing applications, services, and user interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with test automation and dynamic languages for maintaining flexible automated tests.
- Ability to create repeatable and maintainable automated test suites.
- Experience with Java, JRuby, Selenium or equivalent, and defect management systems.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JRuby, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL, and NoSQL for UI and server-side test automation.
- Experience validating REST and SOAP APIs.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, software engineers, and architects throughout the project lifecycle.
